Monday 1st September 2025 - The Trip Home

So, Monday 1st September 2025 brought our Scotland Trip to a Conclusion.

Where we stayed in Glasgow we booked an Apartment which was a nice place to stay and split between us all was a very good price for the Apartment itself.

We spent two nights here from Saturday 30th to Monday 1st.

After Departing our Accommodation we went into the Subway Stop at Cessnock and boarded an Inner Circuit Train to St Enoch and we got a Breakfast the Crystal Palace Wetherspoons adjacent to Glasgow Central Railway Station. We boarded the 09:34 1M10 Avanti West Coast Service from Glasgow Central to London Euston.

We had explored returning on Sunday 31st August however, a -T3- Possession (Engineering Works) in the Carlisle & Lockerbie Areas meant Rail Replacement to Carlisle so we abandoned returning on the 31st and decided to return on the 1st.

We arrived back in Euston with Impressively only a 3 Minute delay due to some Slow Progress between Watford Junction & London Euston, Overall though a lovely ride down and I even managed some sleep between Penrith & Warrington Bank Quay.

Afterwards we Transferred to Waterloo via The Northern Line Direct and then boarded the 15:22 1A45 London Waterloo to Alton arriving at 16:37, 450118/003 & 059 took up honours of operating this service to Alton.
